Pricing, Medicare and related

General Pricing Information

Redlands Specialist Centre is a private medical specialist practice. As such eligible visits, examinations and procedures receive a medicare rebate. The rebate you receive from medicare does not cover the full costs to deliver specialist medical services. There will generally be a gap fee. This is the difference between the amount charged and the benefit you receive from medicare – assuming medicare eligibility rules are met.  Your referring doctor will know if you are eligible or not and you can also contact us to enquire about costs.

We do not provide a ‘price list’ on our website because the services can vary substantially due to different patient and medical considerations. When you book your appointment or enquire we will give you a price guide and expected out of pocket fee.  You can be assured that our prices reflect the fact that we are locally located and keen to ensure we can support our local community as well as possible. If your are suffering financial hardship, please discuss this with your doctor who may contact us to discuss concessional billing arrangements.

All fees are due on the day of consultation – and medicare rebates are generally processed directly back to you within 24hrs after the end of your appointment / submission of claim to medicare.
