Dr Ali specializes in surgery for prostate, kidney and bladder cancer, laparoscopic keyhole surgery for benign and malignant conditions, laser stone surgery, benign prostate surgery (TURP), green light laser prostate surgery, incontinence surgery, penile prosthesis and female urology.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand.
