Dr Brad Morris
Dr Morris is a Specialist Colorectal and General Surgeon who sees and treats patients at the Mater Redlands and Greenslopes Private Hospitals, and has a public appointment at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery, and is trained in robotic and advanced laparoscopic surgery.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), a Member of the Section of Colon and Rectal Surgery of the RACS, a Member of the Colorectal Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) and a Conjoint Committee accredited colonoscopist. Dr Morris is a Senior Lecturer at the University of QLD School of Medicine and the Surgical Supervisor of Training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Dr Morris obtained is medical degree from the University of Queensland with First Class Honours, and completed General Surgery training in QLD. He was accepted to the CSSANZ program and underwent further Colorectal Surgery training at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne, Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, England and robotic training in Seoul, South Korea.
He offers minimally invasive surgical techniques where appropriate for conditions including management of bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, hernias, gallbladder disease, rectal prolapse and more. He offers screening and surveillance colonoscopy at both Greenslopes and Mater Redlands Hospitals.
Dr Morris has a particular interest in perianal disease, particularly anal fistulas and has introduced several techniques learnt in the UK, and lectures frequently on the ‘Modern Management of Anal Fistulas’.
